  • born 31 January 1925 in Žďár nad Sázavou
  • comes from a family that owned a restaurant, a butcher’s shop, and a farm in Žďár nad Sázavou
  • married aged 19 to avoid forced labour in Germany
  • 1944, sheltered the five-year-old Jaroslava Wilhelmová, whose Jewish mother was deported to Terezín
  • witnessed the liberation of Žďár nad Sázavou and the expulsion of its German inhabitants
  • after the war, housewife, cared for her three sons and her ill aunt
  • after 1948, the Communists nationalised her family’s property
  • never joined the Communist Party and did not hide her aversion to the Communist regime
  • worked as a clerk
  • after 1989, the family received its property back, the pub Táferna is managed by her niece
