  • born on May 25, 1952 in Zlín
  • his father worked in the Meopta company as a designer, his mother was an elementary school teacher
  • 1968–1970 apprenticing in the Meopta company as a mechanic
  • in 1970 refused to join the Socialist Union of Youth
  • in 1971 beaten by participants who were celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Communist Party, first court trial
  • 1971–1973 printing and disseminating anti-communist leaflets
  • 1973–1976 destroying propaganda symbols with explosive charges
  • in 1976 detained for alleged preparation of an assassination of the singer Dean Reed
  • arrested in 1983 and in 1984 sentenced to 2,5 years of imprisonment for a bomb attack at the house of an StB collaborator Antonín Mikeš
  • signatory of Charter 77
  • after the Velvet Revolution he worked in the Olomouc department of the Security Information Service
  • investigated a series of bomb attacks in the area of Přerov and Olomouc, later he himself was charged with the act
  • acquitted of all charges in 2005
