  • born on 6th November 1932 in Kunovice in the Uherské Hradiště region
  • at the age of nearly 17 made his first attempt to flee abroad with a friend
  • in Austria persuaded by a communist spy to return to Czechoslovakia
  • four months imprisoned in Uherské Hradiště
  • 26 months at the Auxiliary Technical Battalions, went through four labour camps
  • after the military service got a place in the LET Kunovice company, where he worked until the arrival of armies of the Warsaw contract
  • in 1969 decided to flee abroad with his wife and three small children, found political asylum in the USA
  • in the 1990s returned with his wife to his native country
  • persecuted by communists, a secret agent living in one of his houses until today
