  • born 6 August 1922 in Krnov
  • 1942, forced labour in Austria
  • 1943, drafted into the government army of the Protectorate
  • 1944, deployed in Italy
  • subsequently defected to the partisans
  • 1944, crossed the Alps to France
  • 1944-1945, saw combat with the Czechoslovak units at Dunkirk
  • 1950, arrested and sentenced to eight years of prison
  • spent four and a half years in prisons and labour camps
  • 1955-1981 worked at a power plant and an ironworks
  • 1990, rehabilitated and promoted to the rank of colonel (ret.)
  • died 21 November 2006 of leukaemia
